Brendan Rodgers is reportedly interested in bringing Kieran Tierney back to Celtic. The Scotland international has been informed by Arsenal that they will not be extending his contract, making him a free agent at the end of the season. Tierney has always expressed a desire to return to his boyhood club and has maintained contact with Rodgers. His next move will depend on whether he wishes to return to Scotland sooner rather than later. He transferred from Celtic to Arsenal in 2019 for approximately £25 million. Unless an agreement is reached for an early departure in January, the Parkhead academy graduate will be allowed to leave Emirates for free in the summer. Celtic are currently looking for a left-back as Greg Taylor’s contract expires in the summer and Alex Valle is on a season-long loan from Barcelona. The Scottish champions are also interested in signing another left winger this window to provide backup for Daizen Maeda, with Luis Palma likely to depart.
