Manchester United have recently struggled with injuries to their first team squad. One of the deficiencies that LVG wants to address, in this particular situation, is the left back position.

Manchester United have been monitoring Tottenham Spurs left-back Danny Rose.
Luke Shaw suffered a terrible injury earlier in the season which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. United have struggled ever since to replace their young star. They have tried Rojo, Blind and Darmian in that position. However, LVG still has not been able to get the right balance in the squad.

It seems that United have touted Tottenham full back Danny Rose as a possible candidate to solve that particular issue. Tottenham manager Pochettino has preferred Ben Davies off late instead of Danny Rose in the left back position.

Hence, United feel that they can take advantage of the situation and lure the England International to Old Trafford. It seems United have been scouting the full back on some of Tottenham's recent games and are very keen signing the 25 year old.

However, Tottenham are not at all keen to offload their full back and have warned United about the same. United still believe that they can make a late deal for the former England Under-21 International and fix the issue at left back. However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has always been known as a fierce negotiator and a move may prove costly for United.
