International Eagles: First of a kindWalter Benítez becomes Crystal Palace’s first Argentinian international on July 1st, following his PSV contract. The 32-year-old goalkeeper debuted for World Cup champions Argentina in 2024. He follows in the footsteps of Palace legend Julián Speroni, an Argentinian youth international. Benítez joins other Palace firsts, including Yohan Cabaye (France) and Edgar Davids (Netherlands).
