Aston Villa respond to transfer offer for midfielder

Aston Villa rejected Stuttgart’s loan-to-buy offer for Emi Buendía. Stuttgart are expected to make another bid. Unai Emery will allow Buendía’s exit if a replacement is found. Buendía, frustrated after being subbed off against Brentford, spent last season’s second half on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, who declined their purchase option.
